Lead Quality Engineer
Up to £55,000 plus benefits package
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Lead Quality Engineer / Quality Manager, to deliver major infrastructure projects within the offshore wind industry. Our client is a leading business within the Renewable Energy industry, seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to join their team based in Swindon.
As the Lead Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS) based upon ISO9001 - 20015 for projects
- Delivering the quality control programme across packages under your control
- Managing a multi-million-pound budget and coordinating work of Quality Engineers and Inspectors
- Maintaining an auditable trail for sub-contracted works and services
- Dealing with non-compliances
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this position, you must have relevant engineering qualifications and ideally be professionally registered through the Chartered Quality Institute. You will have experience formulating budgets and resource plans for Senior Management, plus experience of writing specifications & negotiating with major contractors. Inspection qualifications plus welding/coating experience would be advantageous.
Knowledge of the offshore industry and standards is essential, and you should be able to use root cause analysis & auditing techniques to identify and rectify issues.
