£40-50k DoE + benefits
Permanent, Full Time
Manchester - Field Based

Our client, a leading company within the power generation sector, currently require a Lead Engine Technician / Team Leader / Senior Overhaul Engineer to join their team, responsible for the full strip down, overhaul and rebuild of large gas engines. This is a field-based role and you will be covering sites in the North of England and also in Scotland.

As a Lead Engine Technician, you be responsible for:

  • Carrying out full strip downs, overhauls and rebuilds of large gas engines (Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Perkins etc.).
  • Supervisor and leading a team of engine technicians.
  • Providing technical support and training to the technicians and operators on site.
  • Ensuring adherence with health & safety.
  • Other duties as required.

In order to be considered for this Lead Engine Technician role, you will need to have proven experience in a similar position where you've been involved in the overhaul and rebuild experience on large gas engines such as Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Perkins, Cummins etc. You will also need to hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification (apprenticeship / HNC / HND / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.).

They're offering a competitive salary of between £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, plus the company benefits package.
