Laser Engineer
Rugby, Warwickshire
£30,000, plus great package including pension & healthcare

A high-tech Product Manufacturer in Rugby, Warwickshire, require a Laser Engineer / Laser Systems Engineer who will enjoy "hands on" laboratory work, evaluating laser systems based on combining multiple laser units. Your background will ideally be in Physics or Electronic Engineering.

As the Laser Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating high power laser systems
  • Design & test of fibre based & free space optical systems
  • Designing & implementing lab based experiments for validation of lasers
  • Working with manufacturing to transfer designs to production.



You're likely to have a couple of years' experience working with laser or related optics within industry or university, be a graduate in physics, electronics or related discipline, with good experimental & report writing skills. Great interpersonal skills essential as is the ability to work across multiple tasks methodically & efficiently.

The role has arisen due to expansion, with our client bringing a number of new cutting edge products to market.

The role is based in Rugby, close to the M6 Motorway, & easily commutable from locations such as Coventry & Leicester.
