Introduction

I'm looking to speak with an ambitious Electrical Engineer with design experience that's keen to develop their career by joining an established, successful, and forward-thinking engineering firm delivering the design, manufacture, assembly, installation and testing of high integrity electrical and mechanical solutions to a range of demanding high hazard industries.


The Job

As a member of the integration design team, you will have demonstrable experience across a range of the following competencies, or the desire, base knowledge and aptitude to develop these skills, to include close collaboration with both equipment design and installation teams on bespoke projects:

  • Conduct installation site surveys prior to the production of the required technical documentation
  • Cost and estimate installation guidance work in accordance with Design Department Work Instructions to meet internal and customer requirements
  • Provide customer liaison, as required, to ensure operational objectives are met
  • Ensure proposed design solutions are produced in accordance with the latest customer specifications & standards
  • Produce all document drawings (mechanical & electrical) in AutoCAD
  • Conduct and present trials and inspections with respect to guidance information


The Candidate

With a practical background in installations work yourself, or directly producing guidance packages for installations teams, you'll have a solid understanding of and the ability to produce mechanical and electrical technical drawings, ideally within a defence or maritime environment. Prior engineering related service with either the Royal Navy or a relevant trade within the British Army or RAF is highly desirable.

You will ideally hold:

  • Well developed Office and AutoCAD skills
  • General engineering skills to include electrical power distribution, TEMPEST, RFI, EMC etc.
  • Commercial awareness and client facing manner
