Job Role - HGV Technician
Salary - £33,000 - £40,000 DOE
Location - West Sussex
An exciting and innovative waste management business committed to delivering environmental and sustainability improvement within the community are looking for an HGV Technician to join its team within the West Sussex area. As HGV Technician you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance on a mixture of LGV and mobile plant equipment used to service profile contracts.
As HGV Technician you will be responsible for but not limited to;
- Servicing and MOT preparation, body repairs and fault finding.
- Ensuring all company vehicles and plant are inspected serviced and maintained to comply with current legislation
- Ensuring all company vehicles are maintained to standard set by DFT and statutory 'O' licence requirements
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, completion of necessary paperwork and time sheets
The Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate you will be an experienced fitter/technician with chassis and MOT preparation. Previous experience of working with road sweepers and mobile plant equipment will be beneficial. Basic welding, hydraulic and electrical skills are essential.
You will be a team player and be able to adopt a hands-on approach to all aspects of the role to ensure continued high levels of work are carried out right first time. You should ideally be qualified to City & Guilds level (or equivalent) in Mechanics and/or have relevant experience.
