Job Description


Position: HGV Technician
Location: Croydon
Salary: £15.40ph DOE
Hours: 40hours per week
Shifts: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 15:00 and 12:00 - 21:00, 1 Saturday in 4 (overtime paid at 1.5) Overtime available at other times.

Introduction
Our client a Leading National Waste Management and Environmental Solutions business who are looking for a HGV Technician for their team based in Croydon. Joining a long-standing team, you will need a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.

Role Responsibilities:
As a HGV Technician, reporting to Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but not be limited too;

  • Service, repairs and MOT preparations for ALL Commercial fleet
  • Carrying out routine vehicle inspections
  • Maintenance and Diagnostics
  • Fault finding and Repair on 3rd party vehicles
  • Roadside Repairs as and when necessary
  • Health and Safety compliance of fleet and HGVs


Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate must have:

  • A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 vehicle qualification
  • Previous HGV Technician/Fitter, or Refuse Collection Trucks Experience
