Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

Location: North London

Salary: £38,000

Introduction

Our client a leading nationwide integrated waste management business providing collection, treatment, recycling and technologically-driven energy generation services is looking for an Health and Safety Advisor to join one of its key venues in North London.

The Role

As Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for ensuring full site compliance of relevant statutory, company and site-specific requirements and best practices.

Role Responsibilities

Implementing and managing all current and new legislation requirements, company policies procedures and standards.

Ensure all operational and non-operational areas working within site are adhering to the organisational policies and procedures which including contractors and visitors.

To liaise with central SHEQ team ensuring that information is collected and collated for hazards, near miss reporting, external and internal audits

Ensure all required site training is identified and completed in a timely and effective manner and training records are kept up to date.

Maintain the sites ISO accreditations, ensuring accidents are investigated fully, collecting data for the purpose of presenting to site management team to aid in the identification of trends, deficiencies and improvements.

The Ideal Candidates

As the ideal candidate you will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal. As Health and Safety Advisor you will have a strong understanding of engineering, operations and logistical areas of the business and have a practical approach. You will have technical experience including a NEBOSH and the ability to understand HSE reports. You will have good understanding of quality systems and database management.
