Our client, a fast-growing company working within the Power Generation sector, currently require an experienced Fabricator Welder / Engine Fitter to join their team. Based from their workshop in the Northampton area, you'll be tasked with carrying out welding & pipefitting activities on large engine & power generation equipment.
As a Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out welding (TIG & Stick), fabrication & pipefitting duties on large engine sets within the workshop.
- Working from engineering drawings.
- Ensuring adherence with health & safety requirements at all times.
- General housekeeping to ensure the workshop is left clean & tidy.
- Other duties as required.
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have proven experience in a similar Fabrication Welder position, with experience of Stick & TIG welding. You should also hold a relevant welding / mechanical fitting qualification (apprenticeship / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.) and have a background working on power generation equipment, engines, generators or heavy plant.
They're offering a competitive salary of up to £25,000 depending on experience, plus a benefits packages which includes 24 days holiday & pension scheme.
