Salary: £45,000 Plus DOE

Introduction

Our Client is one of the UK's leading provider of Environmental solutions, offering a full range of Waste and Energy Recovery services through a vast and growing network of Plants and Facilities across the country. They pride themselves in transforming what we as a nation tend to discard into a valuable resource, always maintaining the focus on reducing the carbon footprint and limiting the impact on the environment itself. As such they are looking for an Engineering Maintenance Manager to join the team at one of their flagship sites in West Sussex.

The Role

As Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and effective deliver of the site maintenance strategy. Working with the production and operations team the Maintenance Manager will coordinate all activities and optimise plants availability.

Role Responsibilities

As Engineering Maintenance Manager your responsibilities will be but not limited too;


Ensuring the coordination and implementation of the PPM plan working within the guidelines of HSE regulations and site permits
To be proactive in assisting in the site maintenance team in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance
To plan and deliver multiyear maintenance plans and capital expenditure projects.
To continuously evaluate equipment reliability leading to Root Cause Analysis studies and the planning and implementation of subsequent improvement activity
To assist management in the continuous improvement of site activity enforcing Lean working and Six Sigma practices

The Ideal Candidates

As the ideal candidate you will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal. You will have previous experience working with Lean practices within manufacturing, waste management, FMCG or production industries. Knowledge of the waste and recycling industry is essential and previous plant experience is beneficial. As a candidate you will be able to demonstrate relevant management experience and be a minimum Level 3 NVQ qualified or relevant qualification.
