Engine Technician - Overhauls

£35-45k DoE + benefits

Permanent, Full Time

Warrington, Cheshire

Our client, a leading company within the power generation sector, currently require an Engine Technician / Workshop Engineer / Overhaul Engineer to join their team, responsible for the full over of large gas engines. You will be predominantly based in their Workshop in the Warrington area, with the occasional requirement to travel to sites across the UK to assist in the installation and commissioning.

As an Engine Technician, you be responsible for:

  • Carrying out full strip downs, overhauls and rebuilds of large gas engines (Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Perkins etc.).
  • Assisting in the installation and commissioning of the fully serviced engines on site.
  • Ensuring adherence with health & safety.
  • Making sure the workshop is safe, clean and fully operations at all times.
  • Other duties as required.

In order to be considered for this Engine Technician role, you will need to have proven experience in a similar position where you've been involved in the overhaul and rebuild experience on large diesel engines / gas engines such as Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Perkins, Cummins etc. You will also need to hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification (apprenticeship / HNC / HND / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.).
