Our client, a leading company within the power generation & green energy sector, currently require an Engine Technician / Field Engineer / Overhaul Engineer to join their team, responsible for the full overhaul & rebuild of large reciprocating gas engines. This is a field-based position & you will be required to travel to sites across the South East of the UK.
As an Engine Technician, you be responsible for:
- Carrying out full strip downs, overhauls and rebuilds of large gas engines (Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Perkins, Cummins etc.).
- Travelling to sites across the South East region of the UK to perform major maintenance on the engines.
- Ensuring adherence with health & safety.
- Other duties as required.
In order to be considered for this Engine Technician role, you will need to have proven experience in a similar position where you've been involved in the full strip down, overhaul & rebuild on large diesel engines or gas engines such as Jenbacher, Caterpillar, Perkins, Cummins etc. You will also need to hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification (apprenticeship / HNC / HND / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.).
As this is a field-based role, you will need to hold a full & valid driving licence. You will also need to be able to do overnight stays away from home during the week which will be expensed by the company.
They're offering a competitive salary of up to £34,000 depending on experience, plus the benefits package which includes training, van, tools, overtime etc.
