Engine Technician (Major Overhaul)
£35,000 - £40,000 plus benefits
Our client is a leading provider of bespoke asset management services within the clean energy sector. They are currently seeking to employ a Workshop Engineer within their thermal assets function, to carry out the major overhaul and rebuild of Landfill gas powered reciprocating engines. Working both alone & as part of a team you will be based mainly in the Warrington workshop, carrying out major stripping and rebuilding of reciprocating gas engines used to generate power from Landfill methane gases.
You will also be charged with ensuring the workshop is in a clean, safe & operational state at all times as well as carrying out any site maintenance that may be required. You will be a valuable part of a team helping to conduct major overhaul & rebuild of the fleet of engines including Caterpillar, Perkins, Mann & Jenbacher. This will include some travel to UK sites to recover & replace engines.
The ideal candidate must have served a recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent & have demonstrable experience in stripping, condition reporting and re-building of reciprocating/diesel engines to manufacturers standards. You will possess a good knowledge of workshop tools, manuals, engineering documentation & be competent in IT.
The successful candidate will receive a salary in the range £35,000 up to £40,000 along with benefits including a company pension scheme.
