Engine Maintenance Technician (Field based)
Newcastle, North East
In range up to £32,000pa plus vehicle depending on experience
Our client is a service, maintenance & Operations company providing Cogeneration & CHP solutions & now require a Jenbacher / Large Engine / CHP Maintenance Engineer to cover sites in Newcastle & surrounds using Gas Fired Engines to provide heat & power.
As an Engine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned & preventative maintenance on Jenbacher engines & associated plant to ensure they always work at optimum efficiency. You will fault find, replace parts, effect repairs & diagnose mechanical & electrical failures.
The ideal candidate would be apprenticeship trained or will have relevant experience in maintaining mechanical & electrical plant / CHP utilities / large engines & be from a marine or CHP services background. A relevant qualification, preferably at ONC / HNC level would be an advantage.
A full UK driving licence is essential to this position. Salary up to £32,000pa plus vehicle & good company benefits package. 37.5 hours per week, working 1 in 5 weekends with double time on Sunday.
Location: Newcastle, Durham & North East.
