Engine Maintenance Technician (Field based)

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

In range up to £36,000pa depending on experience

Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of engine & CHP servicing solutions in the renewable energy & green energy sectors.

They currently require a field based Engine Maintenance Technician to join a team covering Cambridge, through Northampton over to Warwick maintaining gas reciprocating engines & associated plant that provide power to the local surrounding areas.

As an Engine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned & preventative maintenance on Jenbacher, Caterpillar & MAN engines & associated plant to ensure it's always working at optimum efficiency. You will fault find, replace parts, effect repairs & diagnose mechanical failures.

The ideal candidate would be apprenticeship trained or will have relevant experience in maintaining mechanical plant / CHP utilities / large engines & be from a marine or CHP services background. A relevant qualification, preferably at ONC / HNC level would be an advantage.

A full UK driving licence is essential to this position. Salary up to £36,000pa plus tools, pension, BUPA assurance etc. This is a days role, working Monday to Friday, however there is a next day call out rota as the plant operates 24/7. Commutable from Cambridge, Northampton, Warwick, Birmingham etc.
