Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer (Continental Shifts)



Astute Technical is looking to recruit for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer position based in King's Lynn, Norfolk.

Our client is looking to recruit an Engineer skilled at carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks within an industrial production environment. This role is electrically biased and therefore you will need to be qualified and trained electrically. Working on a continental shift pattern of days and nights you will always be required to fault find and maintain a range of plant and work in accordance with Health & Safety.

Role Responsibilities

  • Fault finding and rectification on PLC controls and 3 phase electrical distribution.
  • Maintain and improve equipment performance and output.
  • Carry out installations and project work as instructed by Senior Management.
  • Work a shift pattern of 12-hour days and nights on continental shifts.
  • Undertake mechanical works as required by the nature of the work.

Applicant Profile

  • You will be qualified to carry out electrical work in isolation with a formal Diploma and Wiring Regulations.
  • You will have trained in production and FMCG environments.
  • You will have experience working on shift and be aware of the benefits and challenges this can bring or understand this.
  • You will need to be willing to commute to King's Lynn.
  • You will have an electrical: mechanical 70:30 bias or comparable.
