Electrical Technicians - Renewable Energy

£30-35k including shift allowance + bonus + benefits

Permanent, Full Time

We are currently recruiting 2 Electrical Technicians to work as Shift Operations Technicians in the O&M department of a 24/7 process plant in Swindon, Wiltshire. This bespoke new station, using advanced thermal technology, will produce gas to grid from waste biomass in an environmentally friendly manner.

Responsibilities... Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the Electrical Technician / Shift Operations Technicians will be responsible for: leading successful & safe plant operations, working independently & take a lead role as part of a team. You will also work flexibly to ensure plant is adequately manned at all times. Help manage the site safety systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience... To be considered for this position you will need to have a recognised technical qualification apprenticeship/ONC/ HNC/HND/ONC in Electrical Engineering or related Process Operations, perhaps using SCADA or DCS Systems. A background in hot works or experience within a relevant industry (chemical, waste management, heavy process) is very desirable. Candidates from Pharmaceutical, Cement, Food Manufacturing or other Process Manufacturing will be considered as will those with an ex-forces background (perhaps Marine Engineering).

This is a shift role & salary is £30,000 to £35,000 including shift allowance plus benefits such as pension & bonus & good holiday entitlement.
