Electrical Technician - Power Station

£25 - £35 per hour - 4 -month contract


We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician for an operation CCGT based in Essex. The role will consist of self managed electrical planned and reactive maintenance of the power station with liaising with the engineers and contractors.

Reporting in to the EC&I Engineer duties will include:

  • Fault-finding and maintaining electrical assets including motors, switchgear, transformers and HV plant
  • Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices
  • Undertaking/assisting in plant developments/ projects
  • Setting to work and supervising contractors
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records on the sites CMMS
  • Ensuring HSE compliance at all times

Ideally candidates applying for this vacancy should have:

  • Be qualified in or working towards a HNC or equivalent qualification in an electrical engineering discipline
  • Excellent technical knowledge of and experience maintaining electrical assets in a heavy process environment
  • Experience gained in a heavy process industry ideally power generation but would also consider experience from the petrochemical, refining or steel industries
  • The highest regards for health, safety and environmental compliance
