Electrical Technician - Water Treatment
£12-15 Per hour
12 Month Contract
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician to work for a Contractor on the Thames Water Framework, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing Electrical Engineer services across Sewage Treatment sites and Pumping Stations etc. The successful Electrical Technician will be qualified to a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering and will also be 17th Edition Certified, you will ideally hold a EUSR Card and have previously worked with the Clean or Waste Water Sectors.
As an Electrical Technician you will be responsible for providing Electrical Engineering Services to our Water Authority customer base, ensuring that all works are carried out in a safe and professional manner and that all safe systems of work and health & safety requirements are adhered to, be responsible for ensuring all documentation required is completed by engineer and the customer, ensure that project requirements are understood before beginning works, be responsible for arriving on time to workshop and customer sites, responsible for informing Project Management Team of any issues or variance to contract and finally be responsible for making sure that all tools and equipment needed for the works are ready before starting a job.
The successful candidate will ideally have worked within the Water Sector, a strong electrical background and be able to understand electrical drawings, you will also have a good knowledge of site procedures and health and safety requirements and be able to carry out basic mechanical works when required.
