Salary - £42,000
Our client is a global leader in environmental solutions, providing a comprehensive range of waste, water and energy management services throughout the UK and are currently looking for an EC&I Technician to join their established rotary kiln incinerator plant in Ellesmere Port.
The EC&I Technician will provide planned, predictive, preventative and reaction electrical and instrumentation maintenance support on an upper tier COMAH environment. Their Ellesmere Port is not only the largest of its kind in the UK but is also one of the most technically advanced HTI facilities in Europe, handling liquids up to 10 tonnes per hour, gases and cylinders and solids.
Main duties will include:
- Providing the site with EC&I maintenance support, overhauls, tests and fault diagnosis of all site electrical equipment.
- Ensuring safe isolations of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Fixed wiring inspections and defect repairs of all site electrical equipment.
- Calibrations of site instrumentation equipment.
- Installation & commissioning of minor EC&I projects.
- Have involvement in health and safety audits and improvements and continuous improvement activities.
The ideal candidate must hold and E&I qualification (ONC/HNC/ NVQ 3 or equivalent) and have experience working within a COMAH environment. You will be trained in wiring regulations and have DSEAR/ATEX knowledge and previous experience using CMMS/SAP would be an advantage. It would be beneficial to have worked with shredders, mixers and pumping systems, high voltage, SCADA and PLC systems.
