Our client is an international leader in waste reclamation and recycling solutions managing more than two million tons of waste annually. With their efforts focusing on Reducing, Recycling & Recovering the waste they manage they are currently able to recycle 60% of that waste.
They require an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join their team based in Sunderland. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive range of instrumentation and three phase power supply knowledge coupled with suitable technical skills for trouble shooting and installation works.
As CI&E Engineer you will be responsible for all aspects of the electrical, control and instrumentation plus maintenance related activities on site.
Your principal responsibilities will be to (but not limited to):
- To perform all duties and assigned activities are carried out in compliance with statutory requirements and the company's quality, health & safety and environmental management system and the electricity at work regulations
- Responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of all relevant electrical equipment and instrumentation, ensuring all work undertaken to the highest standards and within required timescales
- Promote a positive health and safety culture by sustaining good housekeeping standards, wearing correct PPE, reporting any observed near misses and isolating any unsafe situations
- Ensure that appropriate repairs and routine maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and efficiency
To be considered for this position:
The ideal candidate will be apprentice trained and poses qualifications in hazardous area working (CompEx) and ideally within the wiring regulations (17th edition).
Experience and knowledge gained working within top tier CoMAH regulations including corresponding environmental, health and safety legislative requirements is fundamental to this role.
