We are currently seeking to recruit an Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Technician / EC&I Technician, to work on a 24/7 power generation process plant based in the Milton Keynes area. Our client is a leading company within the waste management & power generation industry, with the opportunity for an experienced EC&I Technician to join their team.

As an EC&I Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • EC&I maintenance on heavy process plant / power generation equipment (PLCs, SCADA, sensors, probes, conveyors, pumps, motors etc.)
  • Planned & preventative maintenance across the site
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Troubleshooting, fault finding & calibrations
  • Ensuring operations run at optimum capacity with minimum downtime
  • Other duties as required


To be considered for this position, you should ideally be a time-served Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias), with a strong understanding of Controls & Instrumentation. You should have experience maintaining large/heavy process equipment and be flexible towards working on a shift pattern. Those with a Marine Engineering / ex-Forces background will also be considered.

The package on offer for this position includes a base salary c£45,000, plus good company benefits including overtime, pension, etc.
