Astute are looking for an EC&I Maintenance Coordinator to join the Maintenance Team on a Combined Heat and Power facility in East London. Utilising the latest technology, the site is producing ~20MW of Heat & Power from used fats, oils and greases (FOGS) from the local area.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for the providing engineering support on site ensuring regular maintenance is carried out, planning and scheduling major works and delivering against the contract KPI's.

This is a new position on a new site currently going through Commissioning, you will have the support of the Operations Supervisor and a Support Team based in the client's offices.

Roles & Responsibilities
As EC&I Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinating planned and unplanned maintenance as well as overhaul programmes to the CHP plant, with a bias to the Electricals, Controls and Instrumentations.
  • Investigating and resolving any plant faults.
  • Providing technical support to other staff, delivering technical training and coaching as required.
  • Improving plant reliability and developing maintenance and engineering procedures, instructions and standards.
  • Actively partaking in plant safety schemes, providing support and implementing actions. This includes investigations, audits, people supervision and housekeeping.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:

  • Apprentice trained with a minimum NVQ3/ONC in an Electrical or C&I discipline
  • Working experience in a heavy engineering/process environment such as a Power Station, Refinery, Petrochemical Plant etc
  • Experience in planning maintenance activities, using the CMMS and assisting with the coordination of projects
  • Strong knowledge of EC&I methods, materials and equipment, of DCS & Control Systems, budget management and working to KPIs
