Development Technician - R&D
Southampton, Hampshire
c£25,000 plus good benefits package
A high-tech Electronic Product Manufacturer in Southampton, Hampshire, require a Development Technician who will support the engineering product development of next generation advanced products, through evaluation, test & development of components.
An interesting & varied team-based role, you will build experimental equipment & fixtures, supporting the development of new production & lab test equipment. You will also compile reports of results & findings. Maintenance of existing equipment will also be required.
Your background will ideally be in an engineering product development environment in a related industry such as electronic manufacturing, optical engineering or optical fibres. A qualification in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering required (preferred ONC / HNC) plus experience in the use of oscilloscopes, test equipment & basic mechanical design / component evaluation useful. Basic Excel literacy essential.
The role has arisen due to a busy order book, with our client bringing a number of new cutting-edge products to market.
The role is based in Southampton, close to the M27 Motorway.
Salary is likely to be in the region of c£25,000 plus good benefits package including 25 days holiday & pension.
