Design Manager - Pharmaceutical

Rates of pay: £350 - £400 per day

Length of Contract - 12 Months (Potential for extension)

Start date - As soon as possible

Location - Cambridge

We are currently recruiting for a Design Manager to overlook the design for a large Pharmaceutical project in Cambridge.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience manging design on long term construction projects within the pharmaceutical industry.

Reporting to the Operation Director the Design Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing the design process using commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise
  • Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and their obligations in the development of a building design
  • Encouraging and inspiring designers to produce their best work using their full flair, experience, resources and talents in a cost-effective way
  • Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate
  • Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales
  • Striving to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction

The ideal Design Manager will have previous experience working on Pharmaceutical facility new builds managing design for the all stages of the project.
