Contract Product Support Engineer

Contract - 3 months

£30 - £33 Per Hour

South Coast Location

We are recruiting for a Contract Product Support Engineer for a highly respected test equipment manufacturer specialising in the defence industry. The role consists of providing support to relevant colleagues in the maintenance functions of product lines which are already in the production phase and in use in the field.

Responsibilies of the role include:

  • Working to improve drawings, production test procedures and product documentation.
  • Corrections, modifications and improvements of electrical circuits, bills of materials (BOM's) and part's lists.
  • Generating procurement specifications, goods in test procedures and investigating.
  • Investigating the procurement outcome regards non-compliances in materials supplied and built products.

It is essential that candidates have

  • HND or Degree in an engineering dicipline
  • can demonstrate experience in electronics and mechanical construction.
  • Proven experience in writing procedures, operating instructions, generating/maintenance of BOM's and electronic design problem solving.

Desirable requirements would be

  • A familiarity with optical components and optical measurements.
  • Test engineering and circuit design experience.
