Job Description

We are looking for a Contract Mechanical Construction Manager on a min 6 month contract based at an Anaerobic Digestion Plant in Middlesex.

The Mechanical Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the build completion, making sure that all the equipment is in place, and that the pipng and mechanical construction elements are completed.

The Sub-Contractor has finished the majority of construction tasks, and now needs to be guided through their completion activities including outstanding snags. This role will oversee this completion of tasks.

The Construction Manager will lead on the completion of all outstanding construction tasks and prepare the facility for hand over to the commissioning team, so it is critical that the successful candidate will be experienced at driving the Sub-Contractor through to delivery.

Regarding the project: The AD is mostly erected with the exception of balance of plant that consists of a few thousand piping items, the remaining civil work, and EC&I. There also needs to be completed: final check, punch listing of all trades, piping H/T, flushing and reinstatement.

The Construction Manager will also:

  • Assist the project planning team,
  • Assure that the subcontractors follow the quality requirements as per the specification.,
  • Support the field supervision.

To be successfil you will be:

  • Able to multitask,
  • Capable of dealing with and driving a general subcontractor for the mechanical / instruments installations that is also a process licensor of the AD unit and EC&I S/C
  • Experienced with Anaerobic Digestion
  • An experienced Construction Manager
