Job Title - Compactor Engineer
Location - East London
Salary - £34,000 plus DOE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proven Compactor/Hydraulics engineer to join one of London's leading recycling and waste management organisations serving London and the South East since 1952.
As Compactor and Hydraulics Engineer you will be responsible for efficiently carrying out all maintenance, repairs and service for new and existing clients across the business portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited too;
Responsible for the maintenance servicing to all the business portfolio equipment and customers own equipment where requested
Responsible for all preventative maintenance works, fault finding on all equipment and customers own equipment where requested, out on site and within workshop / depots
Carry out electrical and hydraulic refit / design where requested
Provide technical advice to customers relating to compaction equipment / power supplies etc where requested
Responsible for maintaining "compactor spare parts" stock levels on company vehicle
The Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate you will have strong interpersonal skills, be flexible and proactive. You will have previous experience working on compactors and bailers and welding skills are an advantage. Hydraulic experience is essential, and a mechanical/electrical qualification is beneficial.
