CHP Service Engineer
Up to £36,000 plus vehicle + benefits
Northampton, Field-based

We are currently seeking to recruit a CHP Field Service Engineer / Service Technician / Engine Maintenance Technician, to carry out servicing & maintenance activities on a range of large gas engines across a number of sites around the UK. Our client is a leading within the Renewable Energy / Power Generation sector, with the opportunity for a CHP Engineer to join their team based out of Northampton.

As a CHP Service Engineer, you will be required to:

  • Carry out planned & reactive maintenance on large gas engines e.g. Jenbacher, MWM, Caterpillar, MAN, etc.
  • Conduct Electrical/Mechanical PPM activities
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this position, you will have relevant industry experience working on large Gas engines (Caterpillar, MWM, MAN, Jenbacher etc.) You must hold a relevant engineering qualification (apprenticeship or ONC preferable). Those with steam boiler training (BOAS) and gas qualifications (COCN1, ICPN1, or similar) are highly desirable. Those with a marine engineer, ex-Army or Royal Navy background will also be considered.

This is a field-based role covering sites across the UK and you must be within a commutable distance to their workshop in Northampton. You must hold a valid UK driving licence.

The package on offer for this position includes an attractive salary up to £36,000 (depending on experience), plus benefits including company van, tools, pension, etc.
