Job Description

Consultant Chemical Engineer

Bristol - £35-45,000 DOE

Introduction

Astute are looking for an experienced chemist or chemical engineer to work in a consultancy environment providing analytical support to a portfolio of industry leading clients across the UK energy sector.

The Person

With a strong pedigree in chemical engineering in a high hazard sector, you will be capable of applying your technical knowledge to a broad variety of tasks from an analysis and consultancy viewpoint, preferably with experience of the UK nuclear sector and associated regulatory obligations.

In addition to your technical expertise you will have superb communication skills, the ability to generate positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, be comfortable to take a lead role with client engagement where necessary, and to both identify and then support business development opportunities when appropriate to do so.

Desired Skills

  • Chemistry Degree or equivalent in a related subject
  • Gas chemistry knowledge, with experience in AGR systems being of extreme relevance
  • Demonstrable record of stakeholder engagement and management
  • Independent consultancy experience, to include practical commercial awareness
  • Current knowledge of UK civil nuclear sector
