CAD Technician - Electrical

Contract - £25 - £30 per hour

We are currently recruiting for CAD Technician/Drafter for a company that have a strong presence in the Energy from Waste industry. Initially we are seeking someone to assist with troubleshooting and creating of single line diagrams on 2D AutoCAD for various projects throughout the UK. To be considered for this position the Designer/Draftsman must have experience in creating and fully understanding electrical line diagrams/schematics on an industrial construction project. There is a possibility to develop more responsibilities, so someone with experience in Solidworks or REVIT will have a distinct advantage and the opportunity to develop into other areas of the business.

Reporting to the Design Manager the CAD Technician/Drafter will be responsible for;

  • Full Design of Electrical Single-Line Diagrams
  • Creation and Checking of Schematics
  • Troubleshooting and rectifying Designs
  • Liaising with other members of the design team to resolve issues
  • Further responsibilities dependant on experiences

It is essential for the candidate to have 2D AutoCAD knowledge and experience of Sigle Line Diagrams within an Industrial Construction Industry (Oil & Gas/Power). There is opportunity for this person to develop further responsibilities within the company and assist with Solidworks and REVIT coordination/Design. It would be highly desirable for the candidate to have experience of Energy from Waste and Heat Recovery from Boiler Steam Projects, however, it is not essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with large Power Projects throughout the UK, USA and EAU.
