Our client, a leading company working within the renewable energy and biomass sector, currently require a Biomass Engineer / Heating Engineer to join their team. This a field based position and you'll be required to work on large biomass projects at sites across the UK.
As a Biomass Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, planned maintenance and reactive repair of biomass boilers, ranging from 50kW up to 1MW, as well as biogas burners. You'll also be working on the associated plumbing and heating equipment such as water treatment plant, piping systems, valves, water heaters and controls.
In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have a background working in a similar mechanically biased Biomass Engineer / Heating Engineer position, with biomass and commercial gas experience. A relevant maintenance qualification (apprenticeship / NVQ / City & Guilds etc.) or current gas certificates would also be beneficial for this role.
As this is a field based role, covering sites across England, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence. You will also be required to work on part of a call out rota.
They're offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience, plus benefits which includes a company vehicle, overtime and travel subsidies.
