Assistant Plant Manager - Waste Management

Up to £35,000 (D.O.E) plus benefits

Basildon, Essex

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Manager / Assistant Operations Manager / Assistant Plant Manager, to assist the Site Manager in the safe & efficient operation of a busy waste management site. Our client is a leading organisation within the waste sector, with the opportunity for an Assistant Plant Manager to join their team.

As the Assistant Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the safe & efficient operation of the site
  • Ensuring compliance with waste management licences, H&S Act, company policies & procedures
  • Supervision & management of employees, consultants & contractors
  • Motivating personnel to achieve targets
  • Overseeing operators to ensure good process
  • Accurate data entry to ensure all documentation is maintained correctly
  • Budgetary awareness, spreadsheet control, etc.
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have strong management skills and experience in a similar position. Waste management experience is desirable as are those with an operational background.

The salary for this role is in the range of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience, plus company benefits. Travel to a local second site is required therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.
