Assistant Environmental Manager / Compliance - Food

Up to £40,000 plus benefits

Ipswich, Suffolk

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Environmental Compliance Manager / Environment Manager / Assistant Compliance Manager, to ensure environmental and regulatory compliance throughout a Renewable Energy focused business. Our client is a specialist within the brewery industry, with a Renewable Energy processing plant based in the Ipswich area.

As the Assistant Environmental Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring Plant operations are carried out in a safe, efficient and compliant manner
  • Implementing & maintaining ISO 14001, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and BRC
  • Ensuring environmental compliance
  • EA Permitting / liaising with the Environment Agency
  • Identifying new developments that could affect business operations
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience working within an Environment Manager / Compliance Manager type position within the environmental, waste management, food processing or waste water industry. Ideally you will have an Engineering/Scientific degree, plus a relevant Environmental qualification. This is a permanent position based local to Ipswich, Suffolk.

The package on offer for this opportunity includes an attractive basic salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience), plus company benefits including pension, holidays, and relocation assistance for the right person.
