We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant, to maintain and manage financial ledgers across multiple sites within an engineering-based business. Our client is a leading organisation within the generation industry, with the opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their team based in Milton Keynes.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of revenue invoices and debtors
- Processing invoices in line with companies' policies and month-end reporting
- Cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Assisting with preparation for financial statements
- Tax and VAT submissions and record management
- Cost analysis, posting of journals, etc.
- Liaising with site managers & engineers across multiple sites
- Monthly visits to sites to work with engineering teams on budgets, etc.
- Other duties as required
To be considered for this opportunity, you should be an experienced accountant, either holding or working towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification. You should have experience dealing with multiple sites across a business, working within a small team and be knowledgeable of financial systems. Site travel is required once a month, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.
The package on offer for this position includes an attractive basic salary up to £30,000 (depending on experience), plus company benefits including pension, holidays and healthcare. This is based on a 40hr week, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
