Shift Operator - Control Room based (4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on 12-hour shifts)
£14 to £18 per hour
Ardley, Oxfordshire
We are currently seeking to recruit a Control Room Operator / Operations Technician / Asset Analyst / Process Operator, to monitor multiple energy generating sites from a central control room environment based in Oxford. You will be responsible for providing technical support and fault diagnosis to optimise assets within Landfill Energy. Our client is a leading organisation within the Power Generation industry, with the opportunity for a Control Room Operator to join their team.
As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • 24/7 monitoring, control and remote start-up of plants across the UK
  • Liaising with the Reactive Maintenance Technicians to re-route & call out where needed to bring assets back online
  • Ensuring equipment performance is maximised through operations
  • Lone working from a control room environment
  • Being part of a shift rota to cover 24/7 operation
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this opportunity, you should, ideally, have relevant experience working in a control room environment in an operations type role, preferably within Process, Power, Manufacturing or other control room based roles. You should have strong organisational & communication skills, SCADA controls experience is desirable and work well under pressure.
