Asset & Engineering Support Manager - Energy from Waste

£55,000 - £70,000 + car + bonus

Introduction

We are currently recruiting an Asset & Engineering Support Manager to work across a growing fleet of energy from waste power stations ranging from the central belt of Scotland to the south Wales area. Based at the nearest EfW station you will be responsible for supporting the site teams in the coordination of a variety of engineering projects as well as support of configuration improvements and structured developments across all EFW plants.


What will I be doing?

Typical duties of the Asset & Engineering Support Manager will include:

  • To manage a programme of engineering projects across the EFW fleet of plants
  • Review and align the CMMS (Holistec) asset structure ensuring common terminology is utilised throughout all EFW plants
  • Manage the Principal Engineering team to support the fleet of EFW plants with specialist engineering expertise
  • Review PPM content, liaising with site engineering teams to ensure standardisation of maintenance tasks across the fleet of EFW plants
  • Liaise with Engineering Managers, the CMMS Coordinator and the National Stock Controller to develop a fully integrated CMMS
  • Develop reliability centred maintenance procedures incorporating condition based maintenance to optimise the preventative maintenance of systems and assets
  • Present regular updated on project delivery to the Head of Engineering


What experience does the role require?

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity it's important you meet certain criteria including:

  • Engineering, maintenance or asset management experience on a power station, ideally mass burn incineration e.g. EFW, biomass, coal.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical systems found on a power station / EFW plant (boilers, pressure parts, rotating plant)
  • An engineering qualification in an engineering discipline at HNC level as a minimum - mechanical, electrical, C&I
  • Experience with Holistec or a similar CMMS (SAP, Maximo)
  • A full UK driving licence is required as considerable travel to various sites is involved
