Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a maintenance electrician to join a leading Timber manufacturing company near Edinburgh. The successful candidates will work closely with the current maintenance team, ensuring downtime is minimised and completing pre-planned and reactive maintenance works.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Carry out pre-planned and reactive maintenance work on a variety of electrical equipment on site.
  • Interrogate, fault find and resolve any problems that are shown on the company's equipment
  • Contribute to the site overhauls, ensuring all plant equipment is maintained and repaired as required.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is properly recorded on the site CMMS
  • Work a morning and evening shift pattern.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • A relevant qualification or a time-served apprentice in a relevant engineering field
  • At least 3years' experience in a heavy industry role such as power station, refineries, chemical plant, paper mills, PMCG, pharmaceutical etc.
  • Experience maintaining and fault-finding on motors, variable speed drives, switchgear and LV systems.
  • A flexible approach to working routines as you will be required to work shifts.
