About the role:

Astute's Power team is partnering with one of the largest energy companies in the UK to support them with a strategic hire for a Gas Market Development ESO leader.

Our client is currently looking for a Gas Market Development ESO Leader to join their team based in Warwick or Wokingham. You will be responsible for leading a team of experts to develop long-term Gas market strategies and help align the company's energy transition to attain Net Zero emissions.
Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Gas Market Development ESO you will:
  • Lead a team of experts, providing context, direction and guidance that enables them to analyse market trends and dynamics.
  • Develop a long-term Gas market strategy for the FSO.
  • Contribute to and influence policy development related to the Gas market in the UK, inputting into the vision and high-level model to ensure policy change in the UK and EU.
  • Lead large, complex, and multi-faceted initiatives and programmes on behalf of the FSO, mobilising and leading the relevant resources across the FSO (and externally) to ensure the market makes the most appropriate choices related to gas
Personal skills:
The Gas Market Development ESO role would suit someone who is:
  • A proven leader with impeccable influencing and negotiating skills.
  • An experienced professional in the Gas sector with demonstrable strategic experience
