About the role:

Astute's Renewables team is partnered with a renewable energy consultancy who offers full project lifecycle support to ambitious clients across wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen and hydro power, to recruit a Senor Civil Design Engineer for their Edinburgh office.

The Senior Civil Design Engineer is an integral role who will play a pivotal position in mentoring junior engineers & approving designs comes with a salary up to £55,000. Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager you will:

• Manage and lead the design process for civil elements such as drainage Suds, ground stabilisation, earthworks, foundations and road access routes.
• Address technical issues through all phases of a project related to civil & structural design.
• Produce technically detailed designs and relevant documentation, such as design basis statements, required to progress projects though design and construction.
• Respond to invitations to tender for civil design,
• Support in estimating project costs, resource and budgets.

Professional qualifications:

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Chartered member of ICE.
• Engineering degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject such as Structural Engineering or Civil/Environmental Engineer.

Personal skills:

The Senior Civil Design Engineer role would suit someone who is:

• Experienced using design software such as TEKLA, Civils 3D, AutoCAD or other design software.
• Passionate about renewable energy and technology.
• Displays leadership qualities and can manage your own workload as well as mentoring junior engineers.

Salary and benefits of the Senior Civil Design Engineer role:

• A salary upto £60,000 depending on experience
