Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading company in the sector to recruit a Health and Safety Manager for its Energy from Waste Power Station, in Angus, Scotland.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Head of HSE and Guardianship you will:
  • Maintain a HSE Management system.
  • Manage compliance with Environmental permits and EA reporting along with environmental legislation reporting.
  • Implement and maintain safety rules around traffic on site, i.e trucks, cars and forklifts.
  • Get involved in incident investigations and developing actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct incident analysis and trends.
  • Conduct training needs analysis / arrange training and subsequent record keeping.
  • Work with engineering and maintenance departments to oversee apprentice training and development.
  • Participate in H&S forums and initiatives to drive continuous improvement across the business.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • A NEBOSH certificate
  • Proven experience working H&S within an Operations environment
  • Member of IOSH (or working towards)
