Introduction

Astute are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their established commercial team, supporting them to develop their business opportunities within the Industrial Services / Industrial Cleaning industry. Working with one of the UK's leading waste management companies, this is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for developing new business, working in new industries and working with a team to build business growth.
Roles & Responsibilities

Working as the Industrial Services Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing potential market opportunities, selling B2B solutions and generating leads within the Industrial Services/ Industrial Cleaning sectors over site visits, telephone, LinkedIn, email campaigns and networking events.
  • Understanding of the commercial landscape for developing strong business pipelines, proactively selling profitable new business to achieve and exceed quarterly / annual new business targets.
  • Building strong business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • To manage proactively and reactively, the selling of profitable new business within the sales territory and identify new prospect lists for business opportunities.
  • Securing service-based contracts and business with annual revenues over £100,000, project managing the full tender process.
  • Report call, lead, quote, and contract activity on to the company operating system.
  • Produce and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly personal performance to the Regional Sales Manager.

This role will involve 100% new business generation, this will require strategic prospecting and cold calling.
Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should have the following:
  • Strong Field sales experience working within the Industrial Services sector or a good knowledge of the market.
  • Experience selling B2B solutions and/or services-based contract, securing business with annual revenues over £100,000.
  • Experience and knowledge in responding and leading on details tender submissions, managing these projects to the end.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of how to build and read P&L and balance sheets. The use of excel is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of a consultative approach to new business proposals.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

  • Basic Salary of up to £45,000
