The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Project Development Manager to join the Project management team for an established client od ours working on projects across the UK. As the Project Development Manager you will be responsible for supporting the pre-construction phase of predominantly decarbonisation-type projects in the UK. . The role is fully remote with a requirement to travel to sites across the UK
Role Responsibilities:
- Offer expertise in technical leadership and project management for HV/LV engineering projects in the pre-construction phase, encompassing a strong understanding of civil engineering and superstructure activities.
- Evaluate ITT (Invitation to Tender) documents and interpret requirements to create precise and competitive project bid estimates.
- Produce tender submissions, including both technical proposals and cost assessments, in collaboration with the project team.
- Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are fulfilled and to address any technical challenges or concerns.
- Perform technical assessments of project feasibility, encompassing site surveys and risk evaluations.
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure a successful pre-construction phase.
- Keep a close eye on project progress and performance against established objectives, providing regular updates to both management and clients.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to guarantee prompt and high-quality tender submissions.
- Ensure compliance with pertinent industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
- Offer technical guidance and assistance to project team members, including mentoring and training as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certification in project management
- Proven experience in HV/LV engineering, with a solid understanding of decarbonisation initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in estimating and tendering for engineering projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of HV/LV systems, DNO requirements, including design, installation, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
- Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
Salary and benefits:
- £65,000 to £70,000 per year
