About the role:

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a Subsea Robotics provider ranked in the top 100 marine technology companies by Marine Technology Reporter. They have a commitment to overcoming the challenges in the offshore industry safely, efficiently, and sustainably. We are looking to recruit a Project Surveyor to work out of the Aberdeen Office.

The Project Surveyor role comes with a salary of up to £50,000 with an option for remote work and flexible work once the employee has reached ability to do so.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:
  • Maintain the safety-first culture ensuring all activities in compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Provide continuous survey support to projects throughout the whole project life cycle.
  • Liaise with the Business Development function in presentation of quotations to clients and subsequent contract negotiation where required.
  • Provide input to preparation of tender responses as the enquiry stage.
  • Collaborate with the Robotics, Engineering, R&D, geotechnical and HSEQ departments to ensure that all required support is available.
  • Make sure scope of work is detailed at the business development stage, documented in Client Contract, and any changes are captured and quoted to the Client.
  • Ensure that offshore requirements are communicated in a timely manner to the Operations Manager
  • Identify required equipment and communicate these requirements to the internal engineering and geoscience support group to ensure delivery of equipment to worksites.
  • Complete project briefings/ debriefings during periods of mob / demobilisation with key project personnel
  • Ensure that appropriate project risk assessments are in place.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Project Surveyor role in the offshore energy sector,
  • Technical background in a relevant discipline
  • Familiar with Eiva NaviPac, Navimodel. Qinsy software or other similar Hydrographic Survey software suites
  • Project Management Certification is advantageous
