About the role: Astute's Power team are working with a global technology provider who operate a relay station & power station located in the Ascension Islands. This unique opportunity is responsible for overseeing the operation & maintenance of the relay station which provides Southern Africa with the BBC World Service as well as an Island generating station comprising of 5 diesel engines, five wind turbines, four reverse osmosis plants and 8 water storage tanks. In the near future they are looking at installing battery storage systems and solar panels to further reduce their reliance on diesel generation. |
