Our Client is one of the UK's leading providers of Environmental solutions, offering a full range of Waste and Energy Recovery services through a vast and growing network of Plants and Facilities across the country and as such are currently recruiting for a Tree Manager who will be responsible for Managing Tree stock within Local Authority.

The Role
As the Tree Manager you will be responsible for managing, advising and developing tree and woodland strategies and policies in consultation with the client. The Tree Manager will implement maintenance and planning across all tree-related projects and matters whilst liaising and supporting with local authority teams Green Infrastructure Projects.

Role Responsibilities
As the Tree Manager your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing all applications or proposals for works on trees in Conservation Areas
  • To Manage and Control any contractors carrying out works, such as Tree Surgery or Maintenance
  • To Manage and Maintain records relating to Trees including Tree Preservation Orders, Development Management and any breaches of protection
  • To implement and manage budgets and business operations in line with health, safety and environmental legislation, best practice and company policy and procedures
  • To advice on and attend meetings regarding landscape conditions including any complaints or queries

The Ideal Candidate - Essential

  • Hold an Advanced Level of technical knowledge in Arboriculture, Tree and Woodland Management
  • Strong Computer skills and experience surrounding systems, packages, spreadsheets and various databases
  • Knowledge and experience using Ezytreev Tree Management, Mapping and GIS Systems
  • Management experience surrounding contractors within Tree Surgery and Maintenance
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and health and safety requirements within this industry
  • Experience and knowledge in the statutory register of Tree Preservation Orders, breaches of protection, the proactive making of TPO's and dealing with applied works and impacts on planning proposals


  • Diploma, HNC or Similar in Advanced Arboriculture/Tree and Woodland Management
  • IOSH and OTR (Quantified Tree Risk Assessment) trained or similar
