Our client, a leading company within the marine engineering & renewable energy sectors, currently requirement a Service Engineer / Maintenance Technician to join their team. You'll be tasked with carrying out maintenance on their range of marine & hydraulic systems both in the workshop & out in the field, which will involve working offshore in the North Sea.
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault finding & refurbishments on a range of products including hydraulics, marine safety equipment, winches, cranes etc.
- Working in the workshop and out in the field which will involve UK & overseas travel, as well as working offshore on ships & wind farms.
- Acting in a client facing role whilst in the field, providing technical support & advise around system upgrades.
- Ensuring adherence with health & safety requirements at all times.
- Other duties as required.
In order to be considered for this position, you will need to have proven experience in a similar Service / Maintenance engineering role working on marine & hydraulic systems. This role is well-suited to someone with a background in marine engineering / the Royal Navy. You should also hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification (HNC / HND / apprenticeship / NVQ etc.).
This is a field-based position, so you will need to have a full & valid driving licence and be willing to travel across the UK, overseas & offshore. You will also be required to complete the relevant medicals in order to be permitted to work on oil rigs.
They're offering a competitive basic salary of up to £27,000 plus overtime & allowances which takes the on-target earnings for their Service Engineers up to between £40,000 to £50,000 per annum. There is also a great benefits package which includes 27 days holiday, private medical & training (which will include GWO training).
