Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)
Following recent wins across the Nuclear New Build Market, Astute Technical Recruitment are sourcing an established Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a world leading international design, engineering and project management consultancy.
As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be part of a team delivering key facilities, systems and components across the full spectrum of the power station.
As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you be working within the Power New Build business in Bristol, as an integral part of the delivery of engineering solutions in the Nuclear Energy Sector.
You'll be responsible for the design, optioneering, analysis and assessment of HVAC and Mechanical Process systems, which can be stand-alone technical tasks or part of large multi-disciplinary projects.
In addition, you will be working closely with our clients, consulting with key stakeholders to develop a full understanding of project requirements, delivering cost effective and innovative solutions.
You'll also take the lead on projects - co-ordinating the team and mentoring others.
As the ideal candidate you will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services and be a Chartered Member of the IMechE, CIBSE or ASHRAE. You will have proven design experience including optioneering, concept and detailed design and experience supporting construction and commissioning phases. You will have a strong technical background with the ability to design HVAC systems using relevant UK and international codes/standards. An appropriate level of relevant industrial experience- in the absence of power or nuclear industry specific experience, we would require experience of work associated with a highly regulated industry (e.g. Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Water)
