Plant Operator - Renewable Energy
Up to £32,000 + Benefits
We're currently seeking a Plant Operator / Operations Technician to work on a state-of-the-art renewable energy process plant which is based in the Leeds area. This will be a varied role where you'll be responsible for process operations, first line maintenance, along with deputising for the Team Leader when they're not on site.
As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring & controlling the process plant from the control room using SCADA systems.
- Conducting plant checks & inspections, along with responding to any alarms, carrying out fault finding & first line maintenance (on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors etc.).
- Operating mobile plant on site as required such as telehandlers & forklifts.
- Deputising for the Team Leader when required.
- Ensuring adherence with health & safety at all times.
- Other duties as required.
In order to considered for this role, you will need to have experience in a Plant Operator role using SCADA systems or other similar process control systems. You should also possess a good technical understanding & be able to conduct first line maintenance activities. This position will be well suited to someone with a background working in a process plant environment such as in the water treatment, renewable energy, power generation, chemical or waste management sectors.
