£9.50ph + Overtime


We are currently looking for a Plant Operator to join one of the leading Waste Management specialists in the UK. Working at their Waste Recycling Facility in Kirkby-on-Bain, the Plant Operator will be responsible for operating, inspecting and maintaining the plant on-site involved in the sorting, segregation and movement of Waste Materials.

The Role:
Working as a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating, Inspecting and Maintaining Dozer, Compactor and Tracked Loader plant on-site
  • Carrying out activities to move, sort and segregate waste materials at the waste recycling facility.
  • Carrying out a variety of manual - machine operated duties across the site
  • To report any defects using the approved system
  • Monitoring and supporting the tipping of waste into the facility
  • To carry out any reception or front of site duties needed when required
  • To demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach in order to ensure vital tasks are achieved

The Candidate

To be considered you should have experience in the below:

  • Experience operating plant and mobile plant including Dozer, Waste Compactor and traked Loading Shovels.
  • Full driving license
  • Valid plant operation tickets for Tracked Loader, Compactor or Dozer
  • Experience working in a site-based role
  • Basic knowledge within Health and Safety

Candidates must hold the relevant training certificates and have a flexible attitude to work.
