Mechanical Technician - Marine Engineering

Gosport & Southampton.

Introduction.


We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician / Marine Fitter to join an international engineering services provider. Based between Gosport and Southampton port, you will be tasked with carrying out repairs and maintenance on a variety of vessels.

The Job


As a Mechanical Technician / Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for the following.

  • Preforming service work and pre planned maintenance and breakdown work on up to eight vessels.
  • Testing and diagnosing faults.
  • Logging faults and repairs.
  • Ensuring all administrative document are completed to reflect work.


The Candidate


Candidates will ideally hold a formal qualification with relevance to marine fitting / engineering. (C&G,NVQ,HND,HNC) or equivalent.


Experience in leading / managing other technicians / engineers is desirable.
Candidates who are currently leaving or are EX Royal Navy would be of interest.
